Every student is truly known
Students, teachers and parents play an active role in our mission to prepare all students for success in college, career, and life.
At Summit Public Schools, every student is assigned a teacher mentor who serves as a college counselor, coach, family liaison and advocate.
Mentoring: Supporting students in seeking academic challenges and pursuing personal aspirations requires genuine, trusting relationships that thrive in transparent environments. It is an expectation that every single student is truly known, and that all community members proactively invest in the growth and development of each other.
Our mentoring program ensures that students are excelling in the classroom each day – all the way through graduation. Mentors at Summit Public Schools:
- act as coaches, helping students in their self-directed learning development and learning cycle
- serve as the on- campus adult connection for students and parents
- act as college counselors facilitating students' college admission process
