Summit Prep is currently full for the 2016-2017 school year.  If space becomes available, we will update this page with a transfer lottery date.

Prospective 8th grade parents:

Our recruitment season officially begins in October and we are very excited to see you at one of our Open House Events!  If you are interested in shadowing or participating in a parent tour, sign-ups only occur at Open House events.  If you are a sibling of a current Summit Prep student or graduate, you will also need to attend an Open House to sign-up for a shadow day or tour.  We hold these Open Houses for prospective Summit Prep and Everest students.

    • October 3rd (7-8 pm @ Summit Prep)
    • November 3rd (7-8 pm @ Everest)
    • December 6th ((7-8 pm @ Summit Prep)
    • January 21st (10-11 am @ Everest)
Lottery Information:
  • All applications on Schoolmint are due on Friday, January 27, 2017 by 3:30pm (late applications will not be accepted)
  • The lottery is scheduled for Friday, February 3rd at 9am.  
  • Results will be emailed to all families on Friday, February 3rd.
  • Lottery preferences:
    1. Children of employees residing within the boundaries of the Sequoia Union High School District
    2. Children of identified Founding Families residing within the boundaries of the Sequoia Union High School District
    3. Siblings of currently enrolled students or graduates of Summit Prep residing within the boundaries of the Sequoia Union High School District
    4. Students residing within the boundaries of the Sequoia Union High School District
    5. Children of employees residing outside the boundaries of the Sequoia Union High School District
    6. Children of identified Founding Families residing outside the boundaries of the Sequoia Union High School District
    7. Siblings of currently enrolled students or graduates of Summit Prep residing outside the boundaries of the Sequoia Union High School District
    8. All other students residing outside the boundaries of the Sequoia Union High School District

If you are on our 9th grade waitlist:

  • We will begin calling people on the waitlist if accepted students choose not to enroll.  We will call families in the order in which their name was drawn in the original lottery.
  • The waitlist will close the second week of school.
If you wish to transfer to Summit Prep:
  • Regularly check this website to see if we are holding a transfer lottery
  • Complete a Transfer Application and submit an official transcript to the school
  • Ensure that you are enrolled in comparable college-prep classes at your current school
  • You must maintain a C- or higher in all courses (we do not accept  D grades as they are not considered passing grades to 4-year colleges)
